A stunning and rare highback chair in teak by renowned Danish modern designer Grete Jalk for Poul Jeppesen. Model number PJ 56H. Designed in 1956, this chair is unusual in the fact that Jalk was more commonly associated with manufacturers like Fritz Hensen and France & Son who made her iconic '118 Chair'. This chair is essentially the lesser found tall version of the 118, with extended ergonomic back supports, elegant 'cigar' shaped legs but with more exaggerated fin details on the arms. Chair has been newly reupholstered with brand new foam and a stylish forest green fabric (with a subtle herringbone pattern) by Kirkby.
